Getting started with Leather!


Learn the basics of leather crafting such as:

  • types of leather in the industry
  • essential tools used by leather crafters
  • common cutting techniques
  • choosing practical design fit for everyday use
  • leather joining techniques such as stitching

All materials such as leather (buffalo veg tan leather), zips and clips as well as tools will be provided for all participants.

Reservoir Dayak, established in 2011, is a leather crafting company headed by XPC maker-in-residence, Izzat. His team creates built-to-order leather goods that are hand made and stitched to customers’ personalized details and designs. With the skills learnt from this workshop, you will be able to create many other products such as bags, coin pouches and cases for your tech gadgets.

Each student will create a card holder and a wallet with a zip to take home.*image shown is for illustration purposes only. Actual product may differ.

As sharp and heavy tools will be used during the workshop, children under the age of 12 must have an accompanying parent.
